Ice Cool Aoife At World Championships!

Certified Athletic Rehabilitation Therapist and ARTI member, Aoife Greene, ARTC, recently underlined her growing therapist reputation by travelling with the Irish Ladies Ice Hockey to the World Women's Ice Hockey Championships Division V, held in Sofia, Bulgaria.

A 2010 graduate of the Athletic Therapy & Training degree course in Dublin City University, Greene, who now works in Exwell Medical Clinic in Dublin, was the only Athletic Therapist & Trainer to travel with Team Ireland for the 5 day tournament earlier this month. While in Bulgaria, Aoife was responsible for the Irish squads entire medical needs on and off the ice, in what proved to be an exciting international debut for the Swords native.

"When the position of ‘Team Therapist’ for the Ladies Irish Ice Hockey Team travelling to Bulgaria in March for the 2011 World Championships was advertised, I knew it was an opportunity and experience not to be passed. I was right!....."

Read Aoife's full blog about her Sofia experience on the Members page going live in the coming days.
