China In Her Hands!

Congratulations to Certified Athletic Rehabilitation Therapist, Kathryn Fahy, on her recent selection as part of the medical team for Team Ireland competing at the 26th World University Games, to be held in Shenzhen, China this month.  

Fahy, a 2010 graduate of the Athletic Therapy & Training degree in DCU is based in the University of Limerick sports arena where works with a number of the college teams and athletes. The Cork native has enjoyed an already busy summer period, having just returned from the European University Futsal Championships in Finland where she was the athletic rehabilitation therapist for the University of Limerick ladies squad taking part.

The Irish team for the China games travels out this week and includes a 26 athlete-strong squad, competing in 6 different sports including Archery, Athletics, Swimming, Golf, Taekwondo and Weightlifting. The official opening ceremony of the games takes place on Friday August 12th.
